Investigation after car set alight in Carndonagh

Gardaí are appealing for information after a car was set on fire in Carndonagh over the Christmas period.

Emergency services were called to the scene of a car blaze in the town in the early hours of the morning on on Tuesday 29th December. The alarm was raised at around 1.15am, when a VW Passat was reported on fire on the Convent Road.

The Fire Services had to attend the scene to extinguish the fire.

Gardaí are today appealing to the public for assistance with the investigation. The fire is being treated as criminal damage.  If anyone can offer any information in relation to this incident, gardaí ask that they contact Buncrana Garda Station on 074-9320540.
