Met Eireann has issued a weather warning for all counties ahead of another freezing night.
Temperatures will drop to lows of -4C this Thursday night, and are set to reach bitterly cold lows of -7C on Friday.
A status yellow Low Temperature/Ice warning will be in place from 5pm this Thursday evening until 11am Friday morning.
Icy conditions are currently lingering in many parts of the country, and further ice is expected as temperatures dip again.
Met Eireann is forecasting that the week ahead will turn less cold, but Friday will have widespread “severe frost with icy stretches”.
“It’ll be predominantly dry with clear skies and just a few patches of freezing fog. Minimum temperatures of -7 to -3 degrees in mostly light, variable winds,” forecasters report.
