Motorists and pedestrians are being urged to take care due to ice following another freezing night.
Saturday is to begin with a very cold start with ice on untreated surfaces and patches of freezing fog.
A Status Yellow Low temperature/ice warning is in place for the entire country until midday today.
Widespread icy conditions have been reported this morning, especially on secondary and local routes, according to AA Roadwatch.
The advice for motorists is: “Reduce your speed on icy roads, leave extra space to brake and keep manoeuvres gentle. Stick to main routes where possible as they are more likely to have been gritted.”
