There has been an outbreak of Covid at the Dochas Centre, the women’s prison at Mountjoy Prison.
Prison authorities contacted the courts service this morning informing them of the situation this morning.
No details of the extent of the outbreak has been given.
Prisoners from Donegal who were due to appear at Falcarragh District Court for court were not allowed to leave the prison.
A number of prisoners including Nikita Brogan and Jodie Quill have appeared by videolink, however.
Their cases were adjourned.
