A community appeal has been issued for a painted rock to be returned to its place in a Letterkenny forest.
The rock art, which was cherished by Little Angels Special School pupils, has gone missing from a stream in Corravaddy Woods. Students took their walks in the area when the school was open and enjoyed seeing the feature in the water.

The heavy rock, measuring about 20 x 15 cms, features a painting of the Disney character Flounder. It has sat in the stream for a long time, but a local teacher discovered it missing this week.
If someone has taken it, they are kindly asked to leave it back.
The Little Angels teacher said: “Even if the person just left it back where they found it when no one’s looking, that would be great. I would like to think no one thought they were stealing it, but if they knew how much it meant to the kids, they might just return it. No harm done.”
