There have been 17 further Covid-19 related deaths in Northern Ireland, according to the Department of Health.
The figure includes 12 people who have passed away as a result of the virus in the past 24 hours.
The death toll from coronavirus in Northern Ireland now stands at 1,747.
Over the past 24 hours there have been 422 new cases detected, with 4,921 being recorded in the past seven days.
The new UK variant of SARS-CoV-2 is potentially behind 68% of all cases in Northern Ireland in the past week, according to the Office for National Statistics.
Northern Ireland hospitals are now working at 91% capacity, with 828 Covid inpatients across the Trusts and 74 people with the virus in intensive care units.
