The number of people hospitalised with Covid-19 at Letterkenny University Hospital has again risen over 100.
The hospital last night recorded 102 patients with the virus receiving care onsite, including six people in intensive care.
Critical Care services are at capacity, with no beds listed as available. There are 20 general care beds recorded as available at the hospital.
HSE CEO Paul Reid said hospital teams are “battling” to hold the levels of care that they value and to save lives.
Mr Reid tweeted last night: “The planning by our critical care teams at local, regional & national level has saved lives. Mobilising oxygen, ventillation, building surge beds & teams, deploying critical care transfers, & utilising private hospitals has sustained good levels of care.”
