Covid-19: Sixteen further deaths in Northern Ireland

THERE have been another 16 Covid-19 related deaths reported in Northern Ireland today.

Health officials confirmed 16 more deaths and 550 new cases of the coronavirus.

The figures show that 11 of the 16 deaths occurred within the last 24 hours.

Northern Ireland’s death toll now stands at 1,763 and there have been 101,291 infections in the region.

There have been 4,583 positive cases in the last seven days while the North’s hospitals are now at 95 per cent occupancy.
