Coronavirus: 97 patients hospitalised in Letterkenny, seven critical

The number of patients being treated for Covid-19 in Letterkenny University Hospital has fallen below 100. 

There were 97 patients with the virus onsite last night, down from 109 on Monday.

Seven patients were recorded as critical.

Letterkenny University Hospital is currently operating with zero critical care beds available. The HSE reports there are seven general care beds available onsite.

Covid-19 cases in hospitals are beginning to decrease nationwide. On Tuesday, coronavirus patient numbers decreased from 1823 at 8am to 1689 by 8pm.
