The number of Covid-19 patients at Letterkenny University Hospital has decreased to 74.
The hospital is continuing to operate under pressure due to staff shortages. Around 150 staff at the hospital were off duty this week due to Covid-19 infection, or being a close contact, or being high risk.
HSE data from LUH last night recorded 74 patients with Covid-19, including six patients in ICU. Another critical patient has been recorded as a suspected case of Covid-19. A double test approach is being taken at the hospital during the pandemic.
In comparison, the hospital recorded 99 cases of Covid-19 this time last week.
