All primary routes across Donegal are to be gritted this evening as temperatures plunge once more.
Donegal County Council gritters will be dispatched to cover the county’s main roads from 5pm.
Two yellow weather warnings are coming into effect for Donegal overnight ahead of snow, ice and windy conditions.
A snow-ice warning will come into effect for Connacht, Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal early on Saturday morning.
Snow accumulations of 5 cms are possible with more on higher ground.
Meanwhile a wind warning is in place from 9pm Friday to 9am Saturday morning.
