A new wind warning has been issued for Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Sligo this Monday night ahead of stormy conditions.
Gale force winds are set to strike the Donegal coast for a time.
The status yellow warning comes into effect from 9pm until 8am Tuesday morning.
Met Eireann is forecasting southwesterly winds which will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65km/h and gusts of 90 to 110km/h.
“Where winds are onshore there is a risk of coastal flooding around high tide,” the forecaster said.
A status yellow gale warning and a small craft warning is in place for Marine traffic: “Southerly winds will increase gale force 8 or strong gale force 9 this evening (Monday) and tonight on Irish coastal waters from Mizen Head to Slyne Head to Malin Head,” Met Eireann said.
