Global networking at the heart of Donegal Women in Business event

Donegal Women in Business Network are partnering with prominent local and global colleagues in enterprise to celebrate International Women’s Day 2021.

Women Embracing Global Change Together is a free event, in association with Donegal Local Enterprise Office, and is part of the Local Enterprise Week 2021 programme.

The event takes place on Monday, 8th March, from 11am to 1pm (GMT) and booking is through Eventbrite or donegalwomeninbusiness.com.

The Donegal Women in Business Network in its 21st year and has grown to over 200 members and has excelled in bringing networking online to their members in the past year.

This year, for International Women’s Day, they are partnering with their friends and colleagues in the Letterkenny Institute of Technology; Enterprise North West, a non-profit organisation and a key player in economic and enterprise development in the North West region, and the European Women Association, a global platform that empowers female entrepreneurs worldwide, offering a strong and safe foundation for women-led projects and initiatives.

Jo Daly, President of the Donegal Women in Business Network is looking forward to welcoming guests from all over the world on 8th March, and tells us: “We have had a long-term relationship with Letterkenny Institute of Technology, but our connection with Enterprise North West and European Women Association has come about as a direct result of networking online in the past year. We have embraced online networking in what at first seemed like an impossible challenge and, as a result, we are now collaborating with cross-border and global partners – something we may not have achieved without Covid-19.”

The webinar will introduce attendees to women embracing changes in this turbulent time, while extending the hand of friendship and collaboration, to learn and grow together.

Yousra Kabir, Research Student from Letterkenny Institute of Technology will present her findings on her research into the value of professional networks for growth in business.
