Met Eireann has issued a wind warning for Donegal and the west coast tonight.
The status yellow warning comes into force at 9pm tonight (Monday).
Very wet and windy conditions are in store for the county, with a risk of localised flooding.
Southerly winds will reach mean wind speeds of 50 to 65km/h, with gusts of 90 to 110km/h, possibly higher on exposed coasts.
Where winds are onshore there is a risk of coastal flooding, forecasters warn.
The alert will be in place until 6am Tuesday morning.
Lowest temperatures of 5 to 7 degrees, but gradually becoming milder as the rain spreads.
