Donegal man faces two charges of using forged driving licence

A DONEGAL man has appeared in court charged with using a forged driving licence.

James Hegarty (41) of Crislamore, Burnfoot, was before Buncrana District Court on the matter.

Hegarty is charged with using a driving licence which was, and which he knew or believed to be, a false instrument, at Port Road, Letterkenny, on December 23, 2018.

Hegarty faces a further charge of using a false driving lice at Pearse Road, Letterkenny, on October 13, 2019.

Hegarty, who was represented by solicitor Mr Patsy Gallagher, made no reply when the charges were put to him by Gardaí.

There was no Garda objection to bail.

Judge Paul Kelly remanded Hegarty on his own bail of €100 to appear before Carndonagh District Court on March 16 next.
