Covid-19: Five deaths, 281 cases in Northern Ireland

FIVE further Covid-19 related deaths have been reported in Northern Ireland this afternoon.

Another 281 new cases of the coronavirus were confirmed by the Department of Health.

The region’s death toll is now 2,048.

Since the outbreak, there have been 111,932 positive cases in the North.

There are now 341 patients receiving hospital care for Covid-19 in Northern Ireland, 44 of whom are in intensive care settings.

Hospital occupancy is now said to be at 97 per cent.
