‘Sign’ of the times at Donegal’s largest employer

The famous ‘Pramerica’ sign is to be removed shortly from the front of the main building of Donegal’s largest employer in Letterkenny.

Donegal County Council has granted permission to Extra Space Solutions Ltd, the owners of the building, for the development at the south facing wall of Building 1.

Last November a major Indian company, Tata Consultancy, announced it had bought out Pramerica, securing the jobs of the 1,400-strong workforce.

This week a spokesperson for the Indian giant told Donegal Daily they have ‘exciting plans’ for their Letterkenny facility.

“It (sign removal) is part of our rebranding. Along with the local teams in Letterkenny, we have exciting plans in development and will update you regarding the new branding once those plans are confirmed,” the spokesperson said.

Tata Consultancy is an Indian multinational information technology provider, and a global leader in IT.

Prudential Financial Inc. will retain the Pramerica Ireland brand, which will continue to operate in Letterkenny, with approximately 100 staff staying with them.
