OVER 18,000 homes and businesses have been hit by a massive power cut in Inishowen.

The fault was reported just before 9.30am.

There are 18,378 homes and businesses affected by the outage.

An ESB crew is working to repair the fault, but the company says it estimates that it will be 3pm before power is restored.

ESB have apologised to customers for the loss of supply.
