A Donegal schoolgirl will certainly remember this St Patrick’s Day for all the right reasons.

Nine-year-old Sarah Mc Glinchey from Buncrana has been selected to represent Donegal for the St Patrick’s Day Festival which will be broadcast on RTE between 6.30 and 7.30pm on March 17th.

Irish Poet Stephen James Smith wrote a poem especially for the feature and a child from every county in Ireland has been selected to read a line from it.

Sarah is a daughter of Shaun and Julie Mc Glinchey and she is in Ms McLaughlin’s 4th class in Scoil Iosagaìn in Buncrana.

Filming for Sarah’s appearance was shot last week.

The entire family and all her schoolfriends will be glued to their television screens on March 17th.
