DICE conference celebrating fashion and creative enterprise at LYIT

LYIT is hosting a series of engaging events this week for anyone with an interest in Irish design and creative sectors.

Now in its seventh year, the DICE (Design, Innovation, Creativity and Enterprise) Conference, brought to you by the Department of Design and Creative Media and DICE Labs at Letterkenny Institute of Technology, continues to celebrate and showcase the very best of Irish and international practitioners in design, fashion, film, animation, and entrepreneurship, alongside alumni and students of LYIT.

Three online sessions are taking place on Thursday 4th March – Friday 5th March. All events are free and will take place on webinar platforms.

What’s On:

EVENT: Teaching Design in a Digital World

Thursday March 4: 10.00am-11.30am

Presented by Cróna O’Donohue – Lecturer, Department of Design & Creative Media, LYIT

Irish and International Design Educators will come together to consider how best we adapt our teaching methods not just to teaching remotely in a pandemic but going forward.

We are delighted to invite you to Letterkenny Institute of Technology’s webinar Teaching & Learning Design in a Digital World, kindly supported by DICE Labs and the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, taking place online on Thursday March 4th, 10.00am-11.30am.

Esteemed contributors to the event are Derek Jones, Senior Lecturer in Design, The Open University and Pedagogy SIG Convenor, Design Research Society, Dr. Nigel McKelvey, Head of Flexible and Online Learning, Letterkenny Institute of Technology and Professor Susan Orr, Pro Vice Chancellor: Learning and Teaching at York St. John University and co-author of ‘Art and Design Pedagogy in Higher Education: Knowledge, Values and Ambiguity in the Creative Curriculum.
