Donegal County Council is preparing to dispatch gritters on a number of main routes tonight as temperatures drop to freezing.
Met Eireann is forecasting a a cold and dry night with patchy frost. Temperatures will drop of lows of 0 to 1C.
“It will be cloudier further west and north where mist and patchy drizzle will develop, mainly along the coastal fringes, with lows of 2 or 3 degrees here. Light southerly or variable breezes,” the Ulster forecast said.
The following routes will be gritted from 9PM on Saturday, 6th March:
- 01: National Primary North
- 02: National Primary Central
- 03: National Primary South
- 04: Inishowen South
- 05: Inishowen East
- 06: Inishowen West
- 07: Milford South
- 08: Milford North
- 09: Cill Ulta East
- 12: Binswilly
- 13: Stranorlar North
- 14: Stranorlar East
- 15: Stranorlar West
- 16: Donegal West
- 17: Donegal North
- 18: Donegal South
- 19: Donegal National Secondary
- LT: Letterkenny Town
- BT: Buncrana Town Council
