Breaking: No new Covid-19 cases in Donegal; 30 deaths nationwide

THERE were no new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Donegal today.

It is the second day in the last four with Saturday also seeing no increase to Donegal’s total.

Over the last two weeks, there have been 236 cases in Donegal where the 14-day incidence rate is now 148.2 – lour than the national average of 161.3.

Nationally, there were 30 further Covid-19 related deaths and 311 new cases confirmed.

Today’s is the lowest number of daily cases since the middle of December.

There have bee 4,452 Covid-19 related deaths since the outbreak and there have now been 223,957 cases.

As of 8am today, 397 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 95 are in ICU. There have been 24 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.

As of last Saturday (6 March), there have been 523,069 doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered in Ireland: 373,149 people have received their first dose; 149,920 people have received their second dose.
