A major logistics operation will swing into action today at Letterkenny’s Institute of Technology when vaccinations begin on a much larger scale.
Some car parks at the Letterkenny campus will close to students and staff as the operation to vaccinate the public gathers pace and will remain closed for the foreseeable future.
The hub, which is based at the Dánlann sports centre building, was constructed two weeks ago by workers from Total Expo, a Dublin-based company.
The hub is comprised of thirty cubicles across four lanes in the hall will be accompanied by registration desks and waiting area.
A one-way system of entry and exit will be in place.
The site at LYIT is one of 37 vaccination hubs nationwide.
