A top US TV channel will be broadcasting a travel show all about Donegal this weekend.

‘Ireland: County by County’ will feature an hour long episode on beautiful Donegal. The episode will feature some of the county’s breath-taking scenery, enjoyable culture and well-known characters.

The programme will air on the Create TV channel, which reaches more than 86% of US television households and 44 million viewers annually nationwide.

This weekend, viewers will follow presenter Ciara Whelan as she climbs to the top of Fanad Lighthouse and visits the breath-taking Glenveagh National Park.

Ciara will also be dropping into Glen Folk Village to learn about her ancestors’ way of life before enjoying a music session in the family pub of famous Irish musicians Clannad and Enya (Leo’s Tavern – A Donegal Good Food Tavern).

Local musicians, designers, guides and Moville Chef Brian McDermott will be sharing their stories and experiences with Ciara throughout her travels.

It is hoped that the series will serve as inspiration for US visitors when international travel resumes.
