Breaking: Thirty-nine new Covid-19 cases in Donegal

THIRTY-NINE new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Donegal this evening.

Nationally, health officials have announced 16 further Covid-19 related deaths and 543 new cases.

Donegal’s figure is among the highest in the country this evening with 235 cases in Dublin, 50 in Kildare, 39 in Donegal, 31 in Meath and 28 in Galway.

Ireland’s death toll has risen to 4,534 while there have now been 226,358 cases since the outbreak.

As of 8am today, 340 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 85 are in ICU. There have been 15 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.

As of last Wednesday (10 March), there have been 570,391 doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered in Ireland: 409,662 people have received their first dose; 160,729 people have received their second dose.
