Hopes still alive for major new Donegal Town nursing home

PLANS remain alive for a new 70-bedroom nursing home in Donegal Town.

Hopes are high for commencement of the project after a fresh submission was submitted to Donegal County Council recently.

DMH Developments Ltd have applied for an extension of the five-year duration, with a decision due by the local authority in May.

In 2016, planning permission was granted for the development.

The three-storey building at Drumlonagher, Donegal Town would consist of 70 bedrooms.

The development would also see the construction of a new access road to connect with the existing road serving Donegal County Council’s public services centre and the construction of associated footpaths, as well as other associated works.
