Castletown National School, St Johnston, had a fantastic fundraiser for Pieta House last week.

Following their virtual Well-being Week in February, the kids and teachers at Castletown NS finally got to hold their fundraiser for the Amber Flag initiative on Thursday.

This year, they have been busy learning about ‘Five Ways to Well-Being’ – Connect, Take Notice, Get Active, Keep Learning and Give.

The Pieta Amber Flag is a well-being initiative designed to help schools promote positive mental health.

For our fundraiser, we were learning about giving and how it can have a positive impact on our mental health,” a spokesperson for the school said.

“We held a non-uniform day and we loved getting to celebrate the work of Pieta House in all our amber clothing. The €220 funds raised will support the fantastic work of Pieta House.”

Well done Castletown N.S for raising so much money for such a deserving cause.
