THERE have been another 17 cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Donegal this evening.
Nationally, one further death and 539 new cases were announced.
Donegal continues to have above-average levels of Covid-19 transmission. In the past two weeks, the county recorded 449 new cases, bringing the 14-day incidence rate is now 282, well above the national average of 164.7.
As of 8am today, 331 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 70 are in ICU. There have been 19 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
Letterkenny University Hospital recorded five Covid-19 patients onsite last night, including two patients with the virus in intensive care.
As of last Friday (26 March), there have been 786,569 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered in Ireland: 567,023 people have received their first dose while 219,546 people have received their second dose.
