Donegal county councillors have today given approval for a new housing development in Letterkenny.
A new development will see eleven new social housing units built at Killylastin.
The estate will consist of six 2-bedroom apartments, three 2-bedroom houses and two 3-bed houses. The scheme is set to provide high quality and sustainable homes under the Government’s Rebuilding Ireland Action Plan.
The site is located on a corner site between the established housing estates An Gleann Rua and Windmill View.
The project received approval at today’s Donegal County Council meeting.
Cllr Ciaran Brogan welcomed the scheme and said he was delighted to see an unused piece of council land being developed after many years of it lying vacant.
“I want to compliment the Housing section on work done on this project and I look forward to seeing it start,” Cllr Brogan said.
