There have been no deaths from Covid recorded today but there have been 320 further cases.
The figures have just been released by the Department of Health.
The National Public Health Emergency Team said that there has been 4,718 coronavirus-related deaths in Ireland to date and a total of 238,466 confirmed cases.
Vaccines continue to be distributed with 923,878 Covid-19 doses administered in Ireland.
A total of 655,292 people have received their first dose of the vaccine, while 268,586 people have received their second dose.
The HSE said that it will have administered one million doses of the vaccine this week.
The vaccination of people aged 70 and older is continuing and more than 42,000 people at very high risk have been given a dose of vaccine.
Towards the end of April, the campaign will move to vaccinating people aged 65 to 69.
Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly said on Twitter that “real progress is being made.”
