A young Inishowen woman has set up a Go Fund Me appeal to help provide children’s therapy for young people in her area.

Layla Doherty was so taken by the work of Hughie’s Corner in Carndonagh that she decided to raise funds for it

Layla is a finalist in the Miss Donegal contest but for the past year has been working with Hughie’s Corner.

Hughie’s Corner is in memory of a little boy called Hugh Simpson Callaghan.

They provide free children’s therapy to children aged 5-18 and are completely non profit.

Layla said “There has been a massive increase in the demand for services like Hughie’s Corner due to Covid 19.

“Hughie’s Corner give a voice to our youth. I have set up a fundraiser for Hughie’s Corner to raise vital funds for therapy.

“For anybody who wants to contact them for more information. They have been incredibly supportive.”
