Donegal County Council will grit the majority of main roads across the county tonight as the cold springtime conditions continue.
There will be a risk of frost tonight with temperatures dropping to lows of -1C in Donegal.
Met Eireann is forecasting a cold night with cloud and outbreaks of rain. Rainfall amounts will be small and many areas will stay dry. “Clear spells will develop at times allowing temperatures to fall to between -1 to +2 degrees Celsius with a touch of frost developing in light to moderate northwest breezes,” forecasters said.
Donegal County Council gritters will treat most routes in Donegal, except Routes 3 and 19 in the National Primary South/Donegal Town regions.
