Listen: ‘Judge after 36 games, not three’ – Ollie Horgan

OLLIE Horgan says his Finn Harps team should be judged only at the end of the season.

Harps head into this weekend’s series of Premier Division matches sitting at the summit of the standings.

Unbeaten Harps welcome Waterford FC to Finn Park on Saturday evening and Horgan certainly isn’t getting carried away.

“We are three games into 36,” he told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“It’s very, very early days. We have three done with 33 to go so I don’t think anyone is reading too much into it. God knows what twists and turns will come – and there will be twists and turns. All you can do is judge us after 36 games rather than three.”

After posting impressive wins against Bohemians and Dundalk, Harps were held to a one-all draw by Drogheda United last weekend.

Horgan said: “The three games could have gone either way. A draw away to Drogheda, for us, is a very good result. That could be the point that keeps us in the Division. We got something out of it and we’ve moved on very quickly.”
