Four more people with confirmed Covid-19 have died in Donegal, according to figures published by the Central Statistics Office.
The total number of Covid-19 related deaths in Donegal has risen to 151.
The median age of those who have died with the virus in Donegal is 83.
A total of 9,259 cases of Covid-19 were recorded in Donegal up to last week. The median age of all people affected by the virus in Donegal has decreased from 39 to 38.
There were 111 new cases in Donegal in the week ending 2nd April – representing a 52% decrease compared to the previous week, when 235 new cases were confirmed in the county. Twenty-three new cases last week were linked to outbreaks.
The CSO has reported a continued decrease in Covid-19 cases among those over the age of 65. The percentage of cases in this age group fell from 18% in the week ending 29 January to 6% in the week ending 02 April.
Hospitalisations and ICU admissions have been decreasing since the January peak. There were 103 hospitalisations in the week ending 02 April and less than 5 ICU admissions.
