Breaking: Another 39 Covid-19 cases in Donegal, 18 deaths nationally

ANOTHER 39 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Donegal this evening.

Nationally, a further 18 Covid-19 related deaths and 358 new confirmed cases were reported by health officials.

The figure of 39 cases in Donegal is the second highest in the country behind Dublin (166).

There have now been 282 cases in Donegal over the last 14 days with the county’s 14-day incidence rate now 177.1

Of the deaths reported today: 7 occurred in April; 3 occurred in March; 3 occurred in February; 3 occurred in January.

The median age of those who died was 85 years and the age range was 46-102 years.

There has been a total of 4,803 Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland.

There has now been a total of 241,684 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland.

Of the cases notified today: 163 are men and 192 are women; 73 per cent are under 45 years of age; the median age is 31 years old.

As of 8am today, 205 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 48 are in ICU. There have been 11 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
