Gardaí in Buncrana are urging motorists to slow down as restrictions ease.

Earlier this week, a motorist was detected driving at 149KPH in a 100KPH zone by Buncrana Roads Policing Unit.

The incident occurred on Monday evening, prompting gardaí to highlight the speed on social media.

A spokesperson said: “Since Monday the 12th of April we can once again travel within our own County. We ask that you do so safely and remain mindful of the rules of the road.”

“Slow down. Speed kills.”
