PLANS to construct a new funeral home in Ballybofey have been lodged.

Donegal County Council received an application this week for the proposed development.

Francis Marley of Marley Funeral Directors has made the application.

The plans provide for the construction of a single storey funeral home to include a chapel of rest, office space and ancillary accommodation.

The proposed development also includes car parking facilities and connection to the existing public services.

Donegal County Council say a decision is due on June 8 next.
