Now that the travel limit is lifted, Donegal people have been exploring the county and treated to some amazing experiences.
That’s definitely true for Breda Doherty from Churchill, who climbed Muckish on Wednesday.
When she was on top of the mountain, she was greeted by a majestic eagle soaring in the sky beside her.
The bird is thought to be a white-tailed sea eagle. The species went extinct in Ireland 100 years ago, but breeding plans have proven a success in reintroducing these iconic birds. They are the fourth largest bird of prey in the world. It measures nearly 100cm in length and has a wingspan of 2.5 metres.
