There have been another 401 cases of Covid recorded across the country today with 31 of them being in Donegal.
The Department of Health has been notified of a further 15 further deaths from the virus.
This brings the overall death toll in Ireland to 4,856, with a cumulative number of cases standing at 244,695.
The 14-day incidence rate nationally stands at 113.4, with Donegal is well above this with a rate of 342.
Other counties with a high incidence level are Kildare, Offaly and Longford.
Geographically, 182 of the cases were in Dublin, with 40 in Kildare, 31 in Donegal, 23 in Limerick, 22 in Cork and the remaining 103 cases spread across 17 other counties.
As of this morning, 182 people are being treated for the virus in hospital, of which 47 are in intensive care.

Fourteen counties have recorded fewer than five new cases in the past 24 hours.
