DONEGAL have been handed the carrot of a home quarter final should they get over Down in the 2021 Ulster SFC preliminary round.

Declan Bonner’s men were paired with Down in Tuesday evening’s draw.

The Ulster Council’s competitions controls committee met last night to finalise dates and venues.

Donegal will travel to Páirc Esler in Newry on Sunday, June 27 to get their provincial bid underway.

The winner of the Down-Donegal tie will meet Derry in a quarter-final on the weekend of July 11.

Should Derry win, the game will be at Celtic Park, but if Donegal prevail it will be a home game for the Tir Chonaill side at Sean Mac Cumhaill Park

The 2021 Ulster final is pencilled in for Sunday, August 1.
