Local services have been praised following a successful rescue in Killybegs yesterday.

The incident occurred on Friday afternoon, when a person suffered a fall along the shoreline.

The mission was coordinated by Malin Head Coast Guard, who tasked the Killybegs Coast Guard to the scene to extract the casualty.

The Coast Guard crew brought the person to safety by stretchering them to a waiting ambulance at the shore.

“We wish them a quick and speedy recovery,” said a Killybegs Coast Guard spokesperson.
