WHILE Anthony Gorman knows of Dungannon’s penchant for wanting an attractive brand of football, the Letterkenny man says results have to be the name of the game at Stangmore Park.
Manager Dean Shiels has recruited Gorman, a former Finn Harps manager and Derry City assistant, to the club.
“It’s a new challenge and it’s something that I’m looking forward to,” Gorman told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
It has been a difficult season for Dungannon and Irish League icon Gorman is ware of the task facing the club.
He said: “It’s getting more and more difficult for teams like Dungannon. Clubs like Linfield, Glentoran, Crusaders and Larne have all gone full-time.
“Other teams are trying to stay in the top six. Dungannon have been in around the Premier Division for the last 20 odd years.
“Their success is staying in the League, good performances and they have great tradition and history of developing players to go to England. They’re obviously keen to continue that. For Dean and myself, it’s about results and trying to be as successful as possible.”
