Gardaí are ramping up checkpoints again in Donegal to encourage compliance with Covid-19 regulations in the county.

Roadside checkpoints were mounted in Letterkenny, Bridgend, Milford, Ballyshannon and other areas yesterday.

The current public health measures list that you can travel within your county or up to 20 km from your home.  Two households can meet outdoors, away from their gardens.

Gardaí are reminding the public to not gather in large groups and to maintain social distancing at all times.

Gardaí are asking people to continue to adhere to the Public Health Regulations if out and about this Bank Holiday weekend.

“We ask the public to please restrict their social contacts, only travel within our county and remember to maintain social distance. Please adhere to the guidelines at this most critical time,” gardaí said.
