There has been a positive outcome of a search for a missing person in the Twin Towns in the early hours of this morning.
A spokesperson for Malin Head Coastguard Station has just confirmed that a young person has been found safe and well.
Following a request from local Gardai, the Rescue 118 helicopter was dispatched from Sligo at around 12:45 am to assist in a search along the River Finn.
However, the operation was brought to a happy ending after the person was found safe at around 2:30 am and the operation was subsequently stood down
