Dog owners should bin their pets’ dirt.

That was the overriding message that came out of a discussion on the dirty matter at this week’s meeting of the Lifford-Stranorlar Municipal District.

Councillor Patrick McGowan called for the council to provide special ‘dog dirt’ bins.

“We have a message of ‘any bag, any bin’, but Cllr McGowan has raised a valid point.” Mr Cannon said.
