New ramps on the Glencar Road in Letterkenny are too high for passing traffic, says local Councillor Jimmy Kavanagh.
Cllr Kavanagh is calling on Irish Water to examine and lower the new ramps which were placed following works, but are now causing damage to cars.
“Whether those ramps are in spec, or proper, I don’t know, but what I do know people are complaining big time, they are hitting their cars on it and it’s doing damage,” Cllr Kavanagh told this week’s meeting of the Letterkenny- Milford MD.
Cllr Kavanagh told the council that the ramp near the roundabout at the Glencar Circular Road was particularly problematic.
Cllr Gerry McMonagle seconded the motion and said: “It does seem to be an abnormally large ramp, and certainly a lot bigger that ones there previously which were doing an effective job.”
