Tyrone name team to face Donegal as new Red Hand era gets underway

PAUL Donaghy has been given his Tyrone debut as the O’Neill County ushers in a new era on Saturday against Donegal. 

For the first time since 2002, Mickey Harte will not be patrolling the sidelines as the Tyrone manager.

Fergal Logan and Brian Dooher have taken the reigns and they open their term with an Allianz League derby against Donegal at Healy Park,

Donaghy is named at right half-forward in a team that will be captained by Padraig Hampsey.

The Coalisland man has been announced as the new skipper with Kieran McGeary appointed as the vice captain.

Conor McKenna is named at full-forward while the Red Hands still await the return to fitness of Cathal McShane.
