DONEGAL got 2021 off to a winning start this evening with a two-point win over Tyrone.

Kicked on by six points from Michael Murphy, Donegal made the most of a numerical advantage after Michael O’Neill’s sending off six minutes into the second half to win 0-18 to 0-16.

The sides were level 0-10 apiece at half-time following an entertaining opening period.

Tyrone debutant Paul Donaghy hit ten points but the Red Hands – under the management of Feargal Logan and Brian Dooher for the first time – were made pay for 12 wides.
