A MAN was found ‘talking to a bush’ after finishing his exams in Letterkenny.

Gardaí responded to a call from a member of the public in the early hours of June 21, 2019 about a man stumbling off the footpath at De Valera Road.

When Gardaí arrived, they found Dylan Murray ‘unsteady on his feet and he appeared to be talking to a bush’, Sergeant Jim Collins told Letterkenny District Court.

The court heard that Murray (24), with an address in Ballymun, Dublin, had no previous public order convictions.

Solicitor for the accused, Mr Frank Dorrian, said: “That was as dangerous as it got. This is a very reasonable young man who is a trainee plumber and seems to be excelling.

“He came to Letterkenny to do an exam. He did quite well and he ended up in a conversation with a bush.”

“Was it like Moses and the Burning Bush?” asked Judge Alan Mitchell, who convicted Murray and imposed a €100 fine.
