A gang have got away with a large amount of cigarettes and a substantial amount of cash after a break-in to a filling station in Castlefin.

A safe in the building was also stolen.

The raid happened in the early hours of Sunday morning last, May 23rd, between 1am and 2.57am.

The raiders gained access through the building by a rear-store room.

Gardai say they would like to speak to the occupants of a grey saloon-style car which was spotted in the area at the time.

Anybody with any dashcam footage of the area at the time is also asked to contact Gardai in Letterkenny on 0749167100.
